This week we did read a third "I Know an Old Lady" book. This week she swallowed a chick and many other items that led to her building an Easter basket at the end of the story. (Think Spring, everyone!!) Ms. Glaser has also been reading some of the "Old Lady" books with the kids during music class! Here's a couple pictures of us sequencing the story this week!
Runathon week is always one of my favorites at Wines! Thanks for sending the kids in their pajamas, mismatched socks, and favorite team gear! During science we did a couple of experiments. One involved comparing how many seeds were inside three different apples. All three apples had about the same number of seeds. We also did an experiment where we built a ramp and adjusted the height to see if a higher ramp would make the objects go down faster. (It did!) The kids had fun racing lots of different things down the ramp including pencils, trains, toy cars, and skateboards. Here's a few other shots from the week. Click on the pictures for captions! Here's the Runathon pics! It was just a little chilly but everyone participated and had fun! Thanks to Yufan's dad and Ella's mom for coming out to cheer! Every year I think I should get a group shot, but for various reasons it never works out! We had Ian take a few pictures of a small group of us. We didn't get the shot, but had fun in the process!
