Hello! I fell short in my goal of taking more pictures this week, but I do have a few to share. This week is looking to be busy as we have Halloween and our annual trip to Greenhills for the TWall/B-ball carnival. It's always a fun time and we get to run into lots of old friends! There are also lots of photo opportunities! Until next week!

Spirit Week is alway a fun time at Wines! Our classroom had the most participation for pajama day but we also saw some crazy socks, crazy hair, and favorite teams! We had a 4th grade field trip on Wednesday and also the Runathon on Friday. We were all tired by the time 3:59 rolled around on Friday.
Our English and language arts focus this year is on fiction story elements. We are talking about characters, setting, problem, and solution with some of our favorite Elephant and Piggie stories by one of our favorite authors, Mo Willems. We are compiling all our work into a book that we will send home at the end of the month. Enjoy this week's photos! One week into October! October started strong- I feel like we are all learning our new routines and schedules. Our third graders went on their first field trip of the year to Bird Hills. We started our first social studies unit of the school year. We will be learning about the four cardinal directions and also doing some map reading. The kids all seemed to like the kick off assembly for this week's Runathon. The Skyline drum line is always a big hit! Enjoy some photos from this past week!
