We kept working on learning about our famous world landmarks this week by comparing and contrasting two different landmarks. We will finish up this week and then start science class again when returning from Spring Break. I also hope to do some poetry with the kids during April!
Hello! I don't have tons of pictures to share this week, but I'm happy to share the few that I do. This week we started our Adapted P.E. class. The teacher is Delia Powell. The first two classes went pretty well, considering starting something new at this point in the year can be a challenge. With the addition of this class, we now have a 30 minute Physical Education class four times a week for everyone! Movement is great and helps us regulate! We also had Ms. Glaser visit us as a mystery reader and PLTW also started up for 4th grade. Hello! I have lots of pictures to share from this week. The kids enjoyed dressing up for Spirit Week. Several of the kids were able to participate in the River Residency. The sand and rock table seemed to be the favorite for everyone. We learned a little more about the Colloseum and also painted some pictures of the landmarks we are learning about. We will be starting Adapted P.E. this week! This is a class we have had in years past. We have a new teacher starting with us. This class will be happening in addition to the two PE classes we already have with Ms. Wahl and students will also continue to push into general education PE classes. Enjoy this week's photos!
The 80's and 90's seemed to drag on with all the inclement weather and break days, but we finally celebrated the 100th day of school this past Monday. We added some different activities into our Math Meeting and centers to celebrate the 100th day of school. The kids had the most fun playing the "100 Second Game" where they had to see how many times they could do 1 thing in 100 seconds. 100 seconds seems like a short amount of time, but I bet you haven't tried to blink as many times as you can for that time. It felt like forever! We also started using a grid to create a "mystery picture."
