We had another fun week in 114. The highlight of the week was Unified Day at Huron High School. Unified Day is a celebration of friendship and physical activity. We brought some peers with us to help participate in the activities. Each of our kids did the 25/50 yard dash, and most of the kids also did a relay. We took a break for lunch and then participated in some stations around the football field. Some of those activities were parachute, bubbles, long jump, obstacle course, dancing, and bowling. This is our third year attending Unified Day and we are thankful to the Adapted PE department and the Peer-to-peer coordinator for all their hard work on this event. Every year it gets better! Unlike the Fun Run, it was a warm, sunny day with a bit of a breeze! Enjoy the pictures!

Hello! I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I was hoping for better weather, but alas... I have many pictures to share from various events, but first a very Happy Mother's Day to some of the hardest working best moms I know! We have enjoyed the 5th grade vocal music concert and a couple of field trips the past two weeks. Thanks to all for contributing to the Fun Run picnic and to those who braved the cold and rainy weather to help get everyone around the loop! I was certainly exhausted at the end of the day Friday and imagine your kids were as well! A few of the kids participated in Lunches with Love. They worked in pairs with buddy classes to pack sack lunches for Food Gatherers to distribute. Thanks also for the coin donations- I did not count the total, but seemed like quite a bit for our little class to collect. In between all of those events, we do our best to keep on learning! We are still working hard on reading, writing, math, creating art, and enjoying the Spring weather when we can. Thank you all for the flowers, notes, and good wishes during Teacher Appreciation Week! You are all so kind!
