Hello! This week we spent time talking about our different emotions (happy, sad, scared, and angry). We talked about the different things that make us feel that way and how we should act when we feel each of those different emotions. Two of our 4th graders participated in the Songsters concert at the AADL and we were so proud of them both. On Thursday and Friday the construction crew made a lot of progress putting up the new playground. It is right outside our window so it is fun to see the progress and also watch the cement mixers and other construction vehicles at work.

Week 10! How did we get here so quickly? This week's main event was the T Wall/B Ball tournament and carnival at Greenhills Schools. This event is sponsored by the Tom Wall Foundation and Greenhills School. Each of our students is paired with a high school student from Greenhills and the pair spends the morning walking around a carnival of sorts. There are games, crafts, petting zoo, open gym, face painting and all sorts of fun. It's such a fun and positive atmosphere for the kids and I always look forward to seeing many of my former students there. Most of the K-12 self-contained classrooms throughout the district participate. I missed it this year but all reports were positive and I heard everyone had a great time. Here's a few other shots from this week: We also celebrated our last day with one of our classmates on Friday. We will miss you, Joey! We will miss your enthusiasm and positive energy. We will miss your amazing dancing and fantastic drawings! Don't worry- I'll still wear my All-Stars in honor of Chuck Taylor Fridays. We will all miss you at Wines.
First things first! This week was Halloween! So many pictures!! Most of the Wines staff dressed up as "Things" from The Cat in the Hat. I think there were 29 "things" wandering around Wines on Halloween. Hopefully most of them didn't cause much mischief! Special thanks to Thing 7, Thing 9, Thing 14, and Thing 15 for bringing so much fun to this day (and every day!) Dream team!! In other (more educational) news... our behavioral focus this week was learning to work with others. We continued to learn about the water cycle. We had a 5th grade field trip and also continued filling up our hundreds chart so we can earn our popcorn party!
