Carson missed the Runathon but Wesam got some great photos of him on the playground this afternoon. The kids should be good and tired- I know I am!
Have a great weekend!
We had a great Spirit Week here in Room 114. The kids were excited all week long in anticipation of the Runathon! I brought some hats from home for Silly Hat day and we had silly turkeys, wizards, and witches doing writing, spelling, and music. We also had a surprise visit from Ms. Marquita and her husband, Matt. The kids (and adults) were all surprised and excited they dropped by! We had a beautiful and chilly day for the Runathon today. The kids all walked and ran with their general education classes and cheered for each other as well. We all had a great time: Sasha experienced his first ever Runathon as a Wines student and loved every minute, Rohan got the most high fives, Yufan ran the most laps as he ran with the 4th and 5th grades, Ian cheered for his kindergarten buddy and stuck his tongue out in a photo with the principal, and Eesha waved hello to lots of parents while waiting until the very end for the 5th graders to run. Carson missed the Runathon but Wesam got some great photos of him on the playground this afternoon. The kids should be good and tired- I know I am! Back to regularly scheduled programming next week and then bring on Halloween!
Have a great weekend!
