The Runathon is always one of the most fun days at Wines- lots of school spirit and sportsmanship! Here's a round up of photos from the week!
We had a great week in Room 114! We read our second Old Lady book of the month- There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Shell. We sequenced the story every day as a group. We also worked on identifying some contractions, reading sight words, and did some writing about seagulls. In science we did an experiment about Dancing Raisins, talked about living/non living, and read a book about a boy who did an experiment planting seeds. On Friday, we read a News-2-You paper about the World Series (Gray family is rooting hard for the Cubs!! This could be the year!!). On Friday afternoon we had the Runathon kick-off assembly. The kids all loved the drum line. If the pledge envelope did not come home on Friday in your student's backpack, please look for it tomorrow! The Runathon is always one of the most fun days at Wines- lots of school spirit and sportsmanship! Here's a round up of photos from the week! Thanks so much to Yufan for turning 11 (What???) and his family for hosting a super fun bowling party this afternoon! It was fun to see (almost) everyone there- if you weren't there, we missed you! Also congrats to Yufan for killing it by scoring a 91! I am so thankful for the opportunity to know you all!
