It was a busy week and I have lots of pictures to share! This week we started our October theme... There was an Old Lady! This was a favorite theme from last year so we are reading some different Old Lady books this year. First up was There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Clover. Every day we read and sequence the story up on the white board. This week we also created our own books of the story, practiced some compound words (putting together and taking apart), and sorting numbers into the categories of odd and even. We used a "Spin a Wheel" app on the iPad to complete a graph to see which picture the wheel would land on! (I see many more "Spin a Wheel" activities in our future- the kids love this app!!) Our science unit in October is about the scientific process so we will be completing a few science experiments this month. Some of them will be from our Unique Learning curriculum and some will be ones that I have created. On Friday we did a magnet experiment. (Click on the pictures for captions!) We had two field trips to Bird Hills for various 3rd and 4th grade classes. Beautiful weather for both! Here are the rest of this week's photos!
