Have a great weekend!
Our fifth week of school brought some nice Fall weather, a 4th grade trip to the bog, soccer outside, our Runathon pep rally, a special kale and banana smoothie at lunch (mixed reviews from our crew!), and the always eventful School Picture Day. We tried our best to get the best shot we could of everyone. Yufan looked especially dapper in his tie! Our literacy theme this month is "There was an Old Lady..." This week's book was "There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Bell." Skills that we practiced included sequencing and retelling the story, sorting words into the number of syllables (the kids LOVED this- we counted the syllables of more than 30 words one day...), and using a graphic organizer to help us write some informational sentences about reindeer. Everyone is gearing up for the Runathon next week- hoping to have lots of fun pictures to share!
Have a great weekend!
