Hello October! It was another busy week in Room 114 with a lot to do. Our Behavior Basics focus this week was "Following Directions," We talked about following directions from our teachers (and parents!). We talked about who gets to give directions in school and who does not. The take home message was that teachers give students directions to help them learn and also to help students be SAFE! On Friday we all filled out our compliments! Here's a few compliments from teachers and students! In science we are continuing to learn about weather and we will be starting to look at the water cycle as we move further into October. Ask your kids about the four types of weather tools we are learning about (wind sock, thermometer, rain gauge, and barometer) as well as four types of extreme weather (tornado, hurricane, earthquake, flood). We have also thrown in a couple review lessons about seasons and added those to our science journals as well. We also learned a new type of cloud this week: nimbus! Tons of other happenings... check out the rest of the pictures! I'm excited to see what October brings!
