Week 3! It flew by! This week we talked a lot about Staying on Task. We learned that staying on task helps our classmates and friends also stay on task. Another message was that sometimes school is fun and sometimes it might be a little boring, but that it is still important to stay on task. Staying on task makes us feel proud of ourselves. We are also constantly reviewing and reinforcing following our five classroom rules as well as making smooth transitions between activities. Our Behavior Basics are off to a great start and I am happy with the positive changes we are seeing. Here are some other happening from around the classroom this week. Jack received a brag tag for volunteering to be a good friend to help a student who was at OT do her assignment. Kayla painted my nails after choosing some green nail polish from the prize box. Corbin amazed us with his floor puzzling skills. We had fun in Adapted PE with Ms. Bailey- and Joey is racking up some pretty cool tattoos from the prize box. Kayla and Ella both participated in Big Buddy/Little Buddy with their gen ed classes. Sasha has been trying out robotics with 5th grade PLTW. The days feel busy and productive with lots of (smooth) transitions. Now if only the Fall weather would return...
